(Summary description)According to data released by the Chinese Customs, China ’s imports of natural rubber and synthetic rubber (including latex) in June 2016 were 410,000 tons, and the cumulative import of natural rubber and synthetic rubber (including latex) from January to June was 2.69 million tons. Of which: the import volume of natural rubber (including latex) was 153,200 tons, a decrease of 2% compared with the same period last year, and the import volume from January to June was 1,162,400 tons, an increase of 3% year-on-year. Import of synthetic rubber (including latex) was 262,500 tons, an increase of 52% year-on-year. The import volume from January to June was 1.5243 million tons, an increase of 88% year-on-year. The cumulative import volume of natural rubber and synthetic rubber in the same period last year was 1.94 million tons. The cumulative import volume increased by 38.4% year-on-year, and the import value increased by 16.9% year-on-year. The difference between the increase in import volume and the increase in import value was twice as large. It can be seen that the world rubber market price is still in a downturn. According to the latest data, as of the end of June 2016, the rubber stocks in Qingdao Free Trade Zone amounted to 194,400 tons, a decrease of 24,400 tons from mid-June; as of July 12, the stock of natural rubber futures in the previous period was 300,400 tons.
